Guest Preacher: Kathryn Bates. Rev. Kathryn Bates, Honorably Retired, grew up in Kansas City North and graduated from North Kansas City High School. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Dubuque Theological Seminary. Ordained in the Iowa Annual Conference of the UMC, she transferred 20 years later into PCUSA where she served in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska (where she assisted in the creation of a shared ministry involving a PCUSA, a ELCA, and a UCC in three different communities). She currently lives in Kansas City North near her grown children and grandchildren. She appreciates your invitation to worship with you today.
