Carrie has been a music educator for over 20 years with a Bachelor of Music Ed. – Choral from UMKC and Master of Music – Choral Conducting from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. But she has been a church musician throughout her life.  

In her college and early adult years, she was employed by churches as  Music Director and soloist in Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, and Texas before she and her husband returned to Kansas. She has more recently served as an accompanist & Interim Music Director at a local United Methodist Church. Since July of 2020 she joined GCPC’s music staff as Contemporary Music Accompanist and in February 2021 she moved into our Contemporary Music Coordinator/Leader position. Among her responsibilities are planning/leading the music in our Praise Team led worship service and directing Praise Team.

Carrie and her husband, Jeff, have two sons: Derek and Alex.  The family has been active in their membership in congregations through the transitions of their life together in Texas and Kansas. GCPC is thrilled to welcome Carrie to our music staff.
