Patrick O’Halloran

Patrick O’Halloran received dual Masters of Music degrees in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance from Pittsburg State University. He has also held teaching assistantships with University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and North Dakota State University.
As a performer, O’Halloran has enjoyed a diverse international opera career. Highlights include the title role of Faust in David McVicar's heralded production with The West Australian Opera, in which Australian Stage noted him as “perfect as the internally-conflicted Faust, his engaging performance bolstered by powerful vocals and an impressive range”. He also was a featured tenor in the iSing! festival concert series at the Jiangsu Grand Theatre in Nianjing, China, and held residencies at Washington National Opera, Kentucky, Des Moines Metro, Central City, and Virginia Opera. Other performances include Arcadio in Florencia en el Amazonas with the Washington National Opera, Alfredo in La Traviata with Opera Birmingham, Fort Worth Opera Festival, and Arizona Opera, Rodolfo in La boheme with the Kentucky Opera, and Edoardo in Un Giorno di Regno at the Glimmerglass Festival.
Committed to new works, O’Halloran has premiered roles in several new operas, including the role of Martin in Douglas Pew's Penny, Kent De Quincey in Jake Runestad’s Daughters of the Bloody Duke, as well as Joseph in Jeanine Tesori's The Lion, The Unicorn, and Me, all with the Washington National Opera. He can be seen portraying the role of Matt in the documentary The Face on the Barroom Floor: The Poem, the Place, the Opera based on Henry Mollicone’s opera.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys running and going to the gym, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He looks forward to expanding the already thriving music program at GCPC and can’t wait to see how we grow together as a church community.
