UPLIFT Ministry

Uplift Ministry

UPLIFT is a Kansas City outreach ministry devoted to serving people experiencing homelessness by going directly to where they are. Through mobile street outreach, volunteers bring food, clothing, and essential supplies to parks, camps, under bridges, and other locations throughout the city.

Three nights each week — Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday — volunteers travel in vans loaded with meals and practical necessities, offering not only assistance, but also dignity, kindness, and compassionate presence. UPLIFT serves hundreds of people each week and has been carrying out this mission for decades through the support of volunteers and donations.

Grace Covenant is grateful to partner with this meaningful ministry. On the fourth Saturday of each month, our congregation provides casseroles for one of UPLIFT’s meal deliveries, helping feed approximately 60–90 people. We also collect and donate items that are especially helpful for those living outdoors, including:

  • Easy-peel fruit
  • Easy-to-open canned fruit
  • Canned meat
  • Ravioli and spaghetti
  • Clothing and camping gear
  • Other practical supplies

UPLIFT’s mission is simple yet deeply impactful: meeting immediate needs while reminding people they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. Through every donated meal, food item, or supply, our church helps extend Christ’s love beyond our walls and into the Kansas City community.

Thank you for supporting this ministry and helping provide hope, care, and compassion to our neighbors in need.
