Hot Lunch Food Services

Join Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in partnership with Hot Lunch Food Services as we serve our neighbors through compassionate outreach and hospitality. This ministry helps provide nourishing meals and sweet treats to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity at the Wilhelmina Gill Service Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

GCPC volunteers support this mission by baking desserts, serving meals, assisting in the kitchen, and helping with clean-up efforts. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors through acts of kindness, service, and fellowship.

GCPC needs a few volunteers to provide desserts and/or serve at the Wilhelmina Gill Service Center located at 645 Nebraska Avenue in KCK on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Sign-up for desserts includes dropping off three dozen cookies at the GCPC kitchen by noon on the Friday before the service day.  

Sign-up for kitchen volunteers could include line service worker or dish washer. Kitchen volunteers should arrive at Willa Gill by 10:45am on the day of service. Lunch is served from 11am–12:30pm followed by clean-up. Closed-toed shoes are required for kitchen work!
