Have you ever taken part in a gathering that left you wondering what the point was? Priya Parker (author of The Art of Gathering) notes that often people participate in things without having a clear understanding of the purpose of that gathering, let alone how to meaningfully participate or make the most of that time. We are not exempt from these dynamics in the church! How do we understand, articulate, and experiment in the various purposes of "church events"? And how might people in our neighborhoods and communities benefit from understanding what exactly we are doing when we gather? Join Sara Hayden, and others from GCPC in an interactive workshop to explore ways the people of God can gather with others in ways that matter to those who participate! The class will be held via Zoom in the choir room following worship.
