Holy Week & Easter

Join Us for Holy Week Services at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church!

As we approach the sacred time of Holy Week, we invite you to join us for a series of meaningful and reflective services. This is a time for us to come together in worship, prayer, and fellowship as we commemorate the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Palm/Passion Sunday, March 29, 9:30am

Attend in-person, or livestream on gcpc.org, Facebook or YouTube.

Join us as we celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem with palm branches and songs of praise. Worship music will be led by Linda Dover, organ, and the Chancel Choir. Craig Courtney’s adaptation of Amazing Grace frames the beginning of Holy Week, inviting us to hear the story of grace with both celebration and tenderness as we enter the final days of Lent. Allen York, featured soloist.

Maundy Thursday, April 2, 7:30pm

Attend in-person, or livestream on gcpc.org, Facebook or YouTube

On this solemn evening, we commemorate the Last Supper, where Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper and demonstrated the depth of His love. The Praise Team leads us in music at this reflective service remembering Christ’s final meal with his disciples and the commandment to love one another as we gather at the table before the cross.

Good Friday, April 3, 7:30pm

Attend in-person, or livestream at gcpc.org, Facebook or YouTube

Music shared by the Chancel Choir featuring cellist Daniel Yung. Heather Sorenson’s Tenebrae leads us through the ancient service of shadows. As candles are gradually extinguished, darkness fills the sanctuary, symbolizing the crucifixion and the silence of the tomb. Through choral music, scripture, prayer, and piano and cello reflection, we are invited not simply to observe the story, but to enter it. The service concludes with the stripping of the sanctuary and tolling of the bell for each year of the life of Jesus.
