Good Friday
7:30pm Worship
Music shared by the Chancel Choir featuring cellist Daniel Yung.
Heather Sorenson’s Tenebrae leads us through the ancient service of shadows. As candles are gradually extinguished, darkness fills the sanctuary, symbolizing the crucifixion and the silence of the tomb. Through choral music, scripture, prayer, and piano and cello reflection, we are invited not simply to observe the story, but to enter it. The service concludes with the stripping of the sanctuary and tolling of the bell for each year of the life of Jesus.
