Bright Sunday!

“Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’ The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:2-3, NIV)

On Sunday April 24, Revs. Sue and Mitch once again resurrected (pun intended) an old Easter custom begun by early Christians. Bright Sunday, or Holy Humor Sunday, is a modern adaptation of the ancient custom that was part of a week-long celebration after Easter Sunday. Rosebud, the clown (Rev. Sue) joined the celebration with joyful reminders of God’s love. She led us in a very special celebration of the Sacrament of Communion.

The Bright Sunday worship service was filled with joy and laughter to celebrate Jesus' resurrection. It was a colorful morning filled with jokes, singing and dancing with joy. As you watch the video of worship, get ready to laugh and praise God with a joyful heart!
