About the 2022 Season of Peace
September 4 – October 2, 2022
This four-week pilgrimage is designed to deepen the pursuit of peace for congregations, small groups, families, and individuals. Participants are invited to define and deepen their calling as peacemakers. This season is a time of encouragement, challenge, inspiration, and education.
Mask protocols for this Sunday: MASKS OPTIONAL
The Path of Peace Daily Reflections are written each year to be used during A Season of Peace, the 4-5 weeks leading up to World Communion Sunday, or anytime during the year. The 2022 theme for the offering and the devotions is from the book of Isaiah: You shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace (55:12 ESV). This year’s devotions cover four areas of peace work: climate change, non-violence, the intersection between race and poverty and issues of immigration and migration. Click title to download PDF.

God calls us to honor diversity that God has created in our world by diving deep beyond just accepting diversity. When we recognize and celebrate the different gifts, abilities, and voices in all creation, we honor the diversity in the world that God has created.
God embraces our differences as God created all in the image of God’s own diversity. Honoring God’s diversity helps us see those who are marginalized in our society and affirm them. Once we do this, we can work to bring those vital, diverse voices in from the margins to the center of the work God is doing in the world to listen and learn from them. In listening to marginalized voices, we can hear the Spirit in their call for all of us to work for liberation while challenging oppression.
In Honor God’s Diversity, we learn to recognize and appreciate diversity as a valuable aspect of God’s creation. We are challenged to look beyond the comfort of uniformity to identify the variety of life God gives.

We are all engaged in some kind of work, whether it comes with a paycheck or not. Regardless of the kind of work you do, from bussing tables, to taking care of your home and family, to managing a business, chances are you want to find meaning in your endeavors. We will enjoy this video study with Dr. Wright from St Mary’s College in the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
